Renewable energies are on the rise, and with the current crisis on the energy markets, more and more of you are getting involved in the production of photovoltaic energy. That’s good news, there are many grants available if you want to become a prosumer!
Installation of photovoltaic panels
It’s decided, you are going to put solar panels on your roof! But what are the procedures to follow? What to pay attention to? What aid is available and what can I do with the energy produced? Follow the guide:
- First, check the condition and orientation of your roof. You must be sure that it will be able to support the load and that it will be sunny enough to guarantee a good production.
- You should also check with your local municipality and ask for permission.
- Once you have placed an order with your installer, you should also request a connection from your grid operator, who will connect your installation to the grid and install a new meter to measure your production.
- Choose your method of operation and inform your network operator; depending on your choice, they will take care of certain procedures.
Good to know
Since 1st January 2023, you can benefit from a super-reduced rate of 3% on your photovoltaic panels!
2 operating modes of your choice
If for a long time the legal framework only provided for the possibility of injecting all the electricity produced into the grid with a fixed injection rate, today you also have the possibility of self-consuming the electricity produced and/or of reselling it in part or in full.
Autoconsumption
You want to consume the electricity produced? No problem! You can consume yourself a part of what you produce and inject the surplus in the network.
Choice of 2 injection rates
You have two options: either you choose a fixed price guaranteed by the State for a period of 15 years, or you choose to sign a buy-back contract with an energy supplier and sell your electricity at the market price with a correction factor.
Depending on the option chosen, the Klimabonus subsidies will be more or less important. 62.5% subsidy on your investment for the flexible tariff, 20% for the fixed guaranteed tariff.

Total injection into the grid
Do you want to sell all the electricity produced to the grid to earn maximum income?
Here too, you can benefit from interesting subsidies (20% investment subsidy) and choose between a fixed guaranteed injection rate or a variable rate. The prices are identical to those offered in “self-consumption” mode.
